My name is Lisa Reeve, I love sock yarn, and want to spread the love.
Yarnomat is initially intended to be the home of a few simple, free knitting patterns designed for sock yarn. Some are teeny projects intended to use up odds and ends of left-over yarn. Others use a bit more yarn to make socks, other accessories, and baby garments.
Sometimes it’s hard to get a wide range of nifty sock yarns here in Australia. We have some great local sock yarns, but the international yarns can be thin on the ground. If we Australians order our sock yarn from overseas, the cost of shipping can be prohibitive.
So from May 2008 I’ll also be offering sock yarn for sale through this site. I’m aiming to offer some of the best local and international sock yarns, with discount shipping for orders within Australia. Look out for more information in May.
